Leaking Fuel Dist.
Dear Q-lister Friends,
I need Helps, please.
Here is my problem.
- Today, while I'm enjoyed driving my '89 Audi-90 (non-q, Auto), I
just smelled some gasoline inside the passenger rm.
- After opened the hood, I found there is a _small leak_ in _front
of_ the "Fuel Distributor" (between the distributor itself and some
electronic regulator). According to "ALL DATA" CD, it refers to
"Differential Pressure Regulator". (It has a part no. labeled as:
BOSCH (944) 2437020 009.)
Here are my questions.
1) Is the above problem can be fixed easily--or, do I have to
replace the whole chunk of the Fuel Dist. unit?
2) If the above answer is yes, pls let me know...how to do it. (I
had tightened both 2 screws holding this regulator to the FD. But it
didn't help much...it's still leaking as before.)
3) Just in case I have to replace the above part, pls let me know
if the part no. is correct...and what is the correct part-description.
(Also, any idea of how much it will cost me?)
I will be very grateful if anyone who had BTDT to fix the above
problem (or anyone who experienced this kind of leak) can give me some
Tips to fix this leak. (To help Dan reduce the load on his
mailserver, you can e-mail me direct at the address below.)
Many Thanks and Happy Motoring, of course, w/ your Audi,
Nat
