Haynes says to perform this test with engine off and this assumes the
bomb (pressure accumulator) is working. Therefore I believe this test is
better made with the engine running. If the servo checks out OK with the
engine running and the pump has been renewed, there's no other
possibility but a dead bomb. On 12 years old Audi this is no surprise.
