Yeh, I'm seriously confused about the rear diff., since no one else seems
to think it's a torsen.
In my Bentley, there are two _rear_ final drive schematics: In one, on page
39-109-1 the diagram shows item 3--"Torsen differential", and on page
39-240-1 in another view, the diff is item 10 and labelled --"Torsen
differential".
However the latter diagram also refers to "dissassembly/assembly section
39-290", which clearly shows an _open_ (not Torsen) differential. Gadzooks!
Soooo....is this a matter of US versus European models? Audi changing its
mind (but not its manual)? Just a Bentley goof-up?
Seems to be an example of needing a good dose of salt when reading the
Gospel According to St. Bentley.
