Re: V8Q--Warm start idle problem

Mike- I also have a 1990 V8(138K) and recently experienced a similar problem.
My first thought was the ISV. Since I was out of town, I decided to try the
easy fix first. After Three bottles of Techron, the symptoms have disappeared.
This may not be a final solution, but if it lasts to Spring time !!! As to
your question about the timing, I know for a fact the dealer/mechs do not
always get it right. My last T belt change was done 4 times before they got it
correct. The last iteration corrected a three degree timing error(dealers
number). The car started, and ran seemingly ok until you tromped on it then it
died with a little backfire before reving up. Hope this helps.
