i apologise to the list for this diatribe.  but i did not include mr
shutts name(??) or any information about him in my post last night, just
an (uncut) excerpt from a (very long) mail message he sent me, and
solely to illustrate the point that the driver is a significant part of
this whole "boris the spider" thread.  mr shutt seem to feel that i did
this to make him look like a prat, but that was not my intention to him
personally.  i did not mis-represent what he told me was his experience
of spider bite in his car...

i am somewhat bemused as to why he (the only person on this list who
seems to require a pseudonym) should volunteer that the manouever was
his, but hey, there's no accounting for taste.  mr shutt, i would
recommend a few good deep breaths (as my old aunt would say), or maybe a
wee dram...

at least some of the names provide a little light relief...
