Hot starting problems on '84 UR-q

Help !

Could anyone advise me on the cause of starting problems with my '84 
2144CC UR-q.

I have a spuradic problem; when the engine is HOT then 99.9% of the 
time the engine will not fire after 10 minutes.  However if left for 
30 minutes then it fires first turn of the key.

I've replaced the HT leads, plugs & ignition amplifier over time.

The symptoms show as no sign of firing no matter where the throttle 
position is.
Starting the UR-q always seems to be a fine balancing act of hit / 
miss, although then the temp is below 0C then I have no problems.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received - I'm running out of 
ideas.
