I'm a new owner of a '90 90

Hi,

I think congratulations are in order; it's been over 10 years 
since my last Audis, a couple of 5Ks.  

In dire need of a budget-baby hauler, basically anything w/ 4 or 
more doors with functioning a/c and heater and as long as it's
German (Audi, BMW or VW altho I included Volvo and Saab in the
search), this past Saturday, I bought the first car I looked at: 
an automatic silver '90 90 w/ 77K miles.  

Due to time constraint, I didn't get a chance to take 
it to my mechanic (I know, I know, but the seller had the car
packed to the roof, ready to drive it to Texas first thing
in the morning).  After test driving it, it seems to stop/go
well enough and the fact that if the owner is counting on it
to make it to Texas from S. Ca, it's probably a good daily
driver.

Anyway, pls give me any hints and tips on this particular model
and if there are any 80/90 specific web pages.  I want to 
look for the specs, i.e. engine, weight, hp & torque figures,
gas mileage, performance, braking, and anything else.  I have
literally no clue about my car other than the fact that
I like it so far :-) altho I understand that the a/t is
somewhat of a weaklink and has only 3 forward gears (is 
that tranny interchangeable w/ the 5Ks or Golf/Jetta???)

In the meantime, I need help with the following:

- front left headlight, turn signal and foglight assemlies
  (they're functional but the covers are cracked or broken
  and the "tabs" are also broken)

- an owner's manual or recommendation for a good substitute (Haynes?)

- a steering wheel w/ airbag intact (altho I think I want
  to buy a hub to install my Momo 4 spoke Olympic steering wheel, 
  in that case, how do I disable the "airbag" lite?)

- a good source for maintenance parts

- which grade of Mobil1 synthetic?  I still have a couple of
  cases of 15-30 and 15-50.

- a good mechanic in Orange County or nearby (altho I think Ron Woods,
  who serviced my previous GTIs does Audi as well, I haven't called
  him yet)
