Horn annecdote, marginal Audi content

The recent comments on Audi horns recalls to mind an incident from my
distant past.  A high school friend was given a Jeep around his 18th
birthday (ca 1960).  He soon installed a hidden compressed air tank and
air horn.  (Setting off this horn in someone's driveway was sufficient
to convince the occupant that his house had been transported to a
railroad crossing.)  The horn system was very effective at reforming
drivers who had allowed their attention to drift to conversation and
away from the traffic light that had changed quite a few seconds ago.
Too bad I have so little trunk space.  :-)
