Sounds like a blown head gasket.   Same thing happened to me yesterday.  
Mine blew just behind cyl #5.    It was squirting coolant on the 
firewall.  I got to enjoy my new lifters for about 20 minutes.   I guess 
the extra hp that came as a result of fully opening valves was enough to 
push the gasket over the edge.
