Friend of mine got awy with one just by making the cop look like he 
did not know how the radar oprates and how to use it correctly.
The judge even got pissed off with cops answers.
My friend didn't even get to say his side when procecutor moved to 
dismiss the charges.  It was a beauty to wach.
Just like you said, if you are prepared and know your stuff you can 
get away with it no problem.  Unless you have a judge with an 
attitude.  Always worth a try.
