Coupe GT awards (coupes are cool)

Hey Q heads,

For all of you who are CGT fans, i'm sure you know about the Car & Driver
comparo test that it was in back in 1985 with the Camro, Mustang SVO Mitsu
Starion, Merkur XR4TI, Nissan 300ZX, Toyota surpa, Chrysler Laser taking on
the CGT,and of course the CGT won.

BUT, i just saw in the April R&T mag that 15 years ago they did a similar test
with the '83 CGT, Camaro, Mustang, Starion, REnault Fuego, and toyota supra.
THey judged the surpa is the best, BUT said the CGT was barely beaten by the
supra.

This just proves the CGT was the best and most underrated Sports Coupe of the
80s.  Car and Driver also named the CGT as one of the 10 unheralded sports
cars a couple years ago, saying it was by far the best sports car for the $,
but never sold in large quanities due to all the reasons we are well aware of.
