Not to mention, the possibility of damage.  I, er, forgot to connect my
hose properly when replacing the battery on my '90 100Q, and the acid
leaked out, melting the housing for the vacuum pump which operates the door
locks.  It cost me $100 used at Blaufergnuegen.  Now I check it.
