I would have thought it would be the variable geometry setup that
would determine how fast these things spool up, but that is assume
I understand the term correctly, ie. the turbo has the ability to
change either the impeller blade angles or the hot side turbine
blade angles. Just how do variable vane geometry turbos work? I think
the Corky Bell book has details on them. Anyone care to have a look for
me, please?
