mine was $40.
in the case of the gli, there is no handbrake lever boot, so there
is no old one to take apart.  the new one is a PERFECT fit over the
plastic trim piece that is normally snapped onto the brake lever.
for some people it may be worth it to make their own.
this is a good alternative for those who don't have the time or
inclination to chase down a cheaper alternative.
