I didn't catch the message you responded to but I would contend that
camshaft load bearing surfaces are something to be concerned about.
Since you don't have a bearing insert to replace, the cost of repairing
is much greater. That is one of my major concerns about insufficient
lubrication on a VW or Audi engine.
