The shaft lenght for Coupe / 4Ks are the same and Quattro are 
different.  According to Bentley:

outer joint:

inner:
321 498 103 A  up to 85 D 079 180
321 498 103      from 85 D 079 181  up to  85 D 200 000
893 498 103   from 85 D 200 001

For the 4kq
front outer:
321 498 203 A far all
front inner:
321 498 103 B  for 1984
893 498 103    '85 to '87
rear outer:
183 498 099 A  for all
rear inner:
431 498 103 C  for '84
Canadian '85 to '87 fiche states as above.
I know that's wrong becouse I checked my car.
