Re: Anti-swaybar bushings: help needed (again)
I just did this on the 85 4kq, and while I spent more, it was
much easier:
- remove front control arms
- drop arms at machine shop with bushings
- pay $38, bring arms home
- reinstall
I asked if they had any trouble with the bushings - he said
he had to cut the old ones out but that was about it.
When I asked about the link bushings, he grinned and said
no prob. I looked at him and asked "nothing a 3 ton press
can't fix, eh?"
IMO, don't waste time and just get them pressed in.
If you lube them up well you might be able to get
them in with the vise but I doubt it.
