ProGard carb cleaner

     A bit of info.  While I have the head off the engine, I decided the
pistons could stand a bit of cleaning.  Used some "ProGard Carb, Choke, and
Valve Cleaner" plus a mild steel brush on them.  Yeeeee Haaaaah!  In less than
five minutes all of them looked new!
     I read the can, the stuff has Techron in it (surprise).  Says so on the
front in big bold letters.  Then I read the other ingredients.  It also
contains MEK.  Wonder if that's what "Techron" is?  Just a thought.  Should
have read the label better, but now I'm too lazy to walk back out to the shop
to find out.
     Anyway, although the stuff is designed for internal comsumption by
internal combustion engines, it certainly does neat things when applied as a
topical solution.
     Be sure to use the stuff outdoors, and, as with all chemicals, be sure
you have on gloves and eye protection.
