85 ur-q steering boost loss

Still trying to debug momentary loss of steering boost loss under initial
application of da brakes. Belt tension is OK and so is the ATF fluid level.
Felt when applying da brakes in a big sweeper, etc.

Bentley shows a filter in the ATF tank, but the 85 ur-q has a different res
than what is pictured and the 85 appears to not have a removable filter.
The top screen appears to be permanently installed in the res.
Anyone know about this?

I am starting to think that the prollum might be that unGodly expensive
hydraulic control valve that sends da juice to the steering and brake
boosters and back to the res. Far to expensive an item to shotgun and
just replace. Any thoughts on this?

TIA,
