H2O temp. sender for urq?

Hi, Joe.

You and spoke a year or more ago about the water temperature gauge
conversion you did on your urq.  I have the gauge from an '82 coupe, and
would like to install it in my urq.

If I remember correctly, you had to change one of the temperature senders
on the head to make it work.  I have 2 questions:

1) Do you know what application the sender is from (coupe?  VW?) or what
the part # is?

2) Where exactly is the temperature sender that needs to be changed located?

Thanks in advance, Joe.  I got a boost gage that I want to install in the
dash pod and replace the stock boost gage with the coupe water temp. gage.
