Re: Idler pulley removal



I'm sure I will be corrected by someone if I am wrong - but if it
is the same as on my 5ktq, it is that the hole for the bolt that
retains the pully is actually much larger than the bolt and is
threaded for a much larger bolt.  Obtaining a bolt of size and
threads matching the pulley will pull the sucka right off.  Also
clean and anti-seize the recess wherein the pulley is mounted so
that it will go in straight and smooth. Seems like if it goes in
a little askew, there is a good possibility that you will break
the mounting bolt.  Seem to remember seeing in the archives where
some have done this.
