Correct, the front bearings on the coupe and 4kq are 68 mm as previously
noted. To use the 5X112 hubs you need either the 75 mm or 82mm bearings.
Another note: Martin is using the front struts from a 5Kt. Others have done
this. There is another way to get there though. You can use the front
struts from an '88 or '89 80/90 (stay away from the early 4 cyl. 80 struts
as they have the smaller bearings). These struts will accept the G60
brakes as a bolt on. Moving the rear 4kq axle assemblies up front is
required and it is most likely you will have to shorten the shafts slightly
when using the 80/90 struts. I think the 5kt struts have a wider track
designed into them. Oh, yes, I'm told the flanges on the transmission will
need to be changed when replacing the front axles with those from the 4kq
rear.
