The real MacGuyver

OK, so you guys won't leave the driveway without duct tape and coat hangers.
Well, I have true courage. I travel with no tools. I'm the true MacGuyver
when it comes to roadside Audi repair. Of all the problems I've had I find
the needed "parts" on the road itself.

One time some of "the boys" from my bike racing team were about 200 miles from
home in the 4000 when the three-way splitter valve from the block to the
heater core busted. Of course it's Sunday. The boys panic a little, but not
me. I looked at the landscape of the problem and said, "I need a 2 inch piece
of 1/2 inch diameter pipe, and look for a 1/2 inch plug." Well "the boys"
found the pipe, and I found a used disposable lighter. I put the "parts" in,
filled the radiator, and away we went. It worked the whole summer.

Another time we were halfway from Kansas City to Dallas, TX (Oklahoma
somewhere, where even places precisely on the map are approximate) and had a
flat in the middle of the night. Well the bolts of the alloys were too long
for the stamped steel spare. Did we freak out? I didn't. I told "the boys"
to find 16 beer tabs. I put 4 on each lug nut and screwed them tight. We
were back on the road in minutes.

I'd tell you more stories, but I don't want to contribute to your narcolepsy.
