You guessed correctly. For the money, the 540i 6-sp has more enthusiast
content. The 6-sp goes a looong way for me. I don't like autoboxes
much even if they do have a tiptronic. I thought the A8 was tremendous
in bad weather conditions, but then I would expect that.

The T-bird SC is a great car. Its very unlike any american car except
in its low end torque. It has a very sophisticated double a-arm
suspension all around which is vastly superior to anything Audi had up
until the A8. The chassis is fairly stiff also. The only con is its
weight. Even so, my SC is pretty fast. It has a smaller pulley on the
supercharger, and a 3.73 gear in the rear end. I think it will turn low
14s and maybe even high 13s. It has also been lowered a couple inches,
and sports 16x7.5 and 16x8.5 ACT wheels with 246/50 and 255/50 tires.
It handles very well. It also has quite a bit if rear sedat room. we
use it as our family car with three kids in the back. They fit as well
as in the 5KCSTQ, although it is a _little_ bit more difficult to get
them buckled in.
