Tires, Tires, Tires

Hi all!
Given the lively discussion on tires that has popped up lately, I have a
question. My '91 200q has 205/55-16 Blizzaks for snow and 225/50-16
D40M2s for the track/street driving. I find the D40s a little to
aggressive and noisy for daily driving and would like a set reasonable
street tires. Given this lists' reaction to the Michelin MXV4
characteristics, they are off my list. Does anybody have an opinion on
the Pirilli P6000 "summer" tire? This is not an all season tire, which
is fine by me, and it was ranked higher in ride/track ratings than the
P6000 SportVeloce by the Tire Rack evaluation. The size I'm looking for,
215/55-16, is on sale at TR and I am tempted to go for a set at the same
time that I'm getting another set of the D40s for future track fun.
Thanks for any thoughts!
