I have a '92 S4 with the factory CD changer that is labeled Blaupunkt.
However it looks very suspiciously like a Sony 10 disk changer adapted for
direct connect vs FM connection.  Sony cartridges fit, and dimensionally it is
identical to the FM version I installed on my '86 4kcsq.

I have seen them advertised in the Quattro Club newsletter for $595 - for the
entire kit:
* head unit
* adapter
* changer
* protection shield that goes around the changer unit in the trunk

I was discussing this with Craig Jones at Schaumburg Audi (Chicago area) about
two months ago.  He had the changer unit in stock for ~$300 (as best I can
remember) with exchange.  I don't know what he would charge for it without an
exchange.

Schaumburg is listed as a distributor for the company that advertised in the
QClub newsletter, as is TAP.
