I had one of those. I remember a friend saying to me "bit of a
dilemma." But then he had a Lada that he was proud to note had 250k
miles on it. I have three good things to say about that car. It always
started, you could always find parts at the bone yard and the mileage
was superb. I 'tweeked' 100k out of it before it was off to the junkers
in 88. The final straw was the spring seat on the strut rusted through
and the spring took out the CV boot. That was a week after the other
side let go. When I got it the 83 car of the year 'sticker' was still on
the rear window. Left that on it.
