Re: hiding stereo wires

Dunno if you're in a 92+ or type 44, but in my 91 200q, I ran hq RCAs up the
drivers side (L) door sill (inside of course) and ran the +/-/remote back to
the battery through the tranny tunnel under the carpet. The head unit and
everything else
is grounded to the same point in the trunk, all power leads direct to the
battery (use inline fuses or a circuit breaker). Pull apart the center console
and the rear seat and use a coat hanger to shove the wires through (under the
carpet).

I also ran speaker wirres up the other side of the tranny tunnel to the front
(six sets of wires wouldn't fit under the door sill). Mount all x-overs
(elec/passive) in the trunk deck, away from any other sources of juice. If
speaker wire or RCA wire has to cross a positive lead,
cross the wires at a perfectly perpendicular angle to minimize noise. Keep
power lines away from RCAs, or you will get alternator/fuel pump whine. Also
keep wires away from the ecu. Minimizing noise w/o a filter is the goal.

91 200q T/4/6 a/d/s up front, T/6 Boston Pros in the rear deck, 10" non-ported
sub in trunk. 400+ watts (a/d/s elec x-over, 300 watts a/d/s to interior
speakers, punch 40 (100+ watts peak?) for sub). Clean, and just a little
louder than I have use for. :-)
