The next step...Audi marketing

I bought my Audi ['89 200tqw] a couple of years ago for like $7,000.
The reason I drive it is because it takes a crash fairly well, it can
[and has] been tweaked, and it is generally a good car for the money.
The family has about 5 Audi's, all bought wrecked except 1. You want
the last bargain available? Find someone to get you into the
insurance yards---and be patient. We have my dad in a black / black
'91 200t with like 30k on it. Complete cost around 5 large.

Next step? Wait, wait, wait. Then I will find a wrecked A4q V6 and
start the process all over again.

Now my rant...Audi marketing / corporate ignorance. Since I got my
permit to drive, I have just about everything but an exotic. On
aftermarket care, dealership temperament [not you Osman:)], Audi ranks
at the very bottom---and next to last is not even close. I think of
my Mopar parts days. What a fabulous aftermarket arm to deal with.

Given the way AoA seemingly wants to run things, I cannot forsee the
day when Audi here is anything but a bit player. Replacement parts
pricing is a crime, most dealership "want to" is non-existent, and
[with perhaps the exception of the A4] new car pricing still is much
too high. Depreciation? Makes you wonder why Audi sells any new
cars. I recall pricing a pearl '91 V8 new---think it was around mid
40's? Guy in town sold the car last year with 70k for $12,000. Said
he would never buy another Audi---because the dealership had treated
him like sh*t.

Now, I wonder. Is the CEO of AoA awake, ever?
