Just read an article (http://www.clari.net/) that Daimler-Benz is
investing $549 million to develop the Maybach for 2002. A spokesman said
that they had no choice but to go into the mega-luxo range when BMW (or
VW) takes Bentley and Rolls.

The end of the article said VW was still in the works to aquire Rolls
and Bentley. _But if VW is unsuccessful, then they will launch 2 luxury
models of its own._
