I found the following on a web page dedicated to endurance racing called
Ultimateguide.

BMW Shakes down Le Mans Prototype in Secret

BMW are believed to have shaken down the it new Williams designed Sports
Prototype.
We understand that Hans Stuck shook down the First of the new BMW sports
prototypes in secret at an airfield in Abingdon Oxfordshire last week.
The report has credibility as Abingdon is on a short distance from the
Willam's Factories

The report was dated April 1, 1998.  Perhaps a joke?
