I sent Steve Pitts a private e-asking what the 180hp egine in the 1.8
might look like wiht his 1 bar chip.  His answer and my orignal post are
included.

Hi William...

I have been told from people I have spoke with in Ingolstadt, that when the
1.8t was first developed, it produced 195hp.  Audi USA wanted to detune it
so as not to compete with the new 30v V6...so... they strangled the engine
with this aweful, restricting, exhaust manifold and then they turned the
boost down.

So, now, to undo this, they are turning the boost back up some.. but I don't
know yet if they are changing the manifold from the factory...

So, until we see the cars, I'm not sure what we will change on our
program....or if we want to change anything...
