RE: BTDT on 4KQ RR suspension

Thanks for the info. Now - MORE QUESTIONS!

>Ground Control, TAP, Todd Candey, others?
Yes!
>How would you rate them on:pure race car use?
Excellent!
>quality of engineering?
Excellent!
>quality of materialsquality of craftsmanship?
Excellent!
>ease of installation?
Real easy!
>ease of height adjustment?
Super easy!
>fits standard 2.5" race springs?
Yes!
>price?$500
>post-sale technical support?
Excellent!

Are all of the above responses are relative to the 2Bennett stuff? $500 is steep!
Most are < = $400. Is the 2Bennett HW worth it? Please justify.
Is welding required to install?

>Are camber plates required on the 4KQ for serious RR use?
No-but a solid upper strut bearing is what Audi Sport ran, as
well as ABT and Oettinger. The camber is totally controlled from the
lower "A" arm. All the camber you could ever need it- can provide!

How? I have mine at the limit of the adjustment holes and I have only about 1-1.5
degrees negative all around. Don't I need the capability to go to like 3-4 degrees
negative in front? Where can I buy solid strut bearings for the 4KQ and how much?

>Must the strut bar be designed to work with specific camber
plates? Yes and no, depending on the maker and setup used.
>Is there a proven combination of strut brace and camber plates that work
well together? For "specific applications, yes!

What stress bar and upper strut bearings are recommended for the 2Bennett
setup? Can I buy everything (coil-over kit, springs, strut bearings and strut brace)
as an integrated kit?

>Anyone know of any lightweight tubular adjustable bars for the 4KQ?
None you could buy "off the shelf" they'd need to made "custom"($$$)
Any other 4KQ RR suspension thoughts?

I have experimented with alot of various setups of suspension for the 4kq and CGT
while running SCCA events across the country.

The best I have found is the setup from 2 Bennett, their coil-over set.
It allows for a fully "tunable" suspension for any type of track or condition.
A wide range of varying springs from Eibach make it the best setup around!
(BTDT)

What about spring rates? I have been advised to use between 400 and 650 Lb springs.
I hear If I go with the 650s that I will not even need anti-roll bars and that I can shave
some weight be removing the stock front bar altogether.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
