I know for a fact that the original european 4kq's (1983?) had a ~135hp engine
in them.  I think the difference was mainly a higher compression ratio than the
8.5:1 we got here on this side of the pond.  I can't recall whether it had the
K-Jetronic or the KE-Jetronic fuel injection.  I remember an old article I once
saw in the school library were they did a test drive and they actually liked it
better than the TQC for daily driving due to the much better low-end torque and
no turbo lag, while still having some decent power.  If I remember correctly, it
was some kind of "sport" model with front and rear spoilers and pin stripes on
the side.  0-100 kph times were something like 8 sec.
