Night at the Drrrrraaaaagway!

Boredom is a terrible thing....Curiosity Killed The Cat....Satisfaction
Brought it Back......

So last night I joined the ranks of the "also ran" at New England Dragway
in Epping, NH. After doing my taxes and thereby my civic duty, I grabbed
my helmet, gloves, and a "Green Day" cd and ran down to the dragway. On
Wednesday nights...all Summer...you can run with other street cars as many
times as you can get in line for timed runs from 7PM to about 10PM for $12.
I think the best part about having a Quattro there is that most people just
didn't know what the hell to think. The folks that I talked to were all
very friendly and curious about the car and what it would "run." So was I.
Let's face it, the 20v Quattro is a stone off the line, but I thought it
would be fun to aim the nose down a dragway for sh*ts and grins. It was.
I readily admit that I didn't feel much like adding a new clutch and God
knows what else to the $12 so I was pretty gentle on it as these times will
show...pretty embarrasing actually....but it WAS tons of fun. Ok, New
England "Q" owners, who's next?

Keep your guffaws to a minimum...and remember I didn't exactly dump the
clutch. (I was also late and only got one run in)
