You don't have to remove the sway bar (unless it's very large and 
won't twist at all with some force).  
There is enough space that with a long lead pipe in the control arm 
that you can force the ball joint out of the strut BTDT.  The other 
side will become very easy that way too. 
Helps if you have two people installing it back.
