Lighting enhancements...
I've got a coupld of questions related to lighting... First I'd like to
find out about the stock foglamp switch on my '85 5ks. It has five pins on
it, there are 2 small pins (which are for the switch lighting) and 3 larger
pins. It's a 2 position switch (3 if you count off) but it's weird, since
one position connects 2 of the pins, and the next position connects all 3.
I'm wondering what purpose this setup has... anyone know? I'd like to hook
up some driving lights also, and I wonder if there's a way to use that same
switch for both fog and driving lights?
My next question is a bit less specific. I used to own an '85 S@ab 900s,
and it had one feature that I really miss since I got my Audi. When you
engaged your turn signal (with headlights on), a light would turn on in that
front corner of the car, illuminating the direction you are turning. This
feature ruled! And I find that I really miss it now that it's gone. I'd
like to rig up something like that on my Audi, has anyone tried to do
something like this?
There are several things (mostly ergonomic and engineering) that I liked
better about the s@ab, but I've found non-turbo s@abs to be quite
underpowered, and they don't make a wagon.
Does anyone know where I could get an aluminum valve-cover for the 2.2L
5-cyl, and approxomately how much it might cost?
TIA!

P.S. I would prefer direct replies, I can't always keep up with the list...
Thanks!
