Steve, you may want to re-think that a bit. The quattro system is the least of
your problems when considoring a type 44 chassis Audi (you kinda knew that,
you own one! ;-)...). The other thing to considor is that the 5ktq/200q *was*
the top of the line Audi in it's day so there is slightly more hope that a
used one was well maintained, at least when new-ish and worth a bunch. You
already know you don't really want another slushbox with your affinity for 2.0
bar and cockpit adjustable wastegates...finding a 5spd 5kt (no q) is like
finding a needle in a haystack. A clean q from that era will be much easier to
find and will probably be around the same price. HTH
