Re: '87 90q 10v questions

Since it's equivalent to a 1988 90Q in the US, should be the 130hp
10v engine. Not sure of the code though.

You can easily spot the 20v in the compartment.

The speedlines were standard on the Coupe Quattro, perhaps options
on the 90Q.

>Tyre advice for this car? My personal pick
I am running Bridgestone RE71 Potenzas in 205/60/15, but other good
picks abound. Don't know much about Pirelli but the P4000 is not a
great tire. The 6000 is better I think.

4 bolt. 4kq rims should fit (in fact were standard on the 80Q in
the US I think) but only if the brakes are standard. The CQ
uses a larger rotor and requires a 15" wheel.

> -Any specific weak points to look at?

Does it have auto climate control? Check the usual stuff:

- leaks underneath, esp rear diff.
- operation of rear diff (should lock at 0mph, unlock at 20mph)
- condition of axles and boots, center driveshaft, bearings, suspension.
also control arm and subframe bushings, as well as rear diff mounts.

Maybe. The 90Q in the US was leather only - the 80Q had cloth.

It should probably fit as the towbar would mount to the bumper and
would not go in any further. Max tow load would be around 1000lbs
or what we call a Class 1 hitch.

Also check the 20v pages for details. Let me know if you need more
info.
