Whatever you do, do it soon. I own an '87 5KTQ extremely inexpensivly
because the PO ignored the bearing noise and found out THERE IS NO FUSE
BETWEEN THE BATTERY AND THE FAN. When the bearings freeze up it melts down
the wiring harness! For my money I'd spend the discounted 250ish and have
peace of mind for a while.
