I think all this uproar over the license plate frame and customer service
is a bit misguided.
Point 1: Dealers usually put something on a car they sell to advertise
their business.
Point 2: I personally remove any such advertising automatically at the
earliest opportunity, sometimes before I drive off the lot. But that's
just me.
Point 3: A license plate is intended to identify a vehicle. One
important piece of that ID is the state which issued the license. The
license number alone could possibly be useless without the issuing state.
It is simply common sense that tells you you're tempting the odds by
obscuring it. Once you purchase a car it's condition is your
responsibility. Period. Trying to pass this back to the dealer is
spurious.
Sorry Scott. Don't mean to dump on you. I ignored the first few
responses about this with the delete key, but ....
