Removing rear shock from spring
I'm changing the springs/shocks on my '87 5ktqw to H&R/Boge. I started
with the rears since they're easier. I have the whole spring/shock
assembly in a vise with spring compressors on the springs. I don't have
the special tool 3017A shown in Bentley.
Any tips on removal of the top nut without spinning the shock piston? I
may have to resort to a ViseGrip on the shock piston. My 17mm wrench is
not thin enough to fit in there so I'm stuck with using a socket.
Thanks,
Regards,
