clutch, climate control lights, and xenon

hi, i am new to the list, and tried all last night to find answers to
these questions through the archives, but was unable to do so. for some
reason, i would search, and when it came time to view the results, my
browser would start downloading what seemed like a full year's worth of
writing. let me preface by saying i did not join the list only to have
these three questions answered. i look forward to every list. that

my car: 1986 5kcst 5spd
the v.i.n. starts with wau ( was told that meant it
was a REAL german audi, is this true?)

clutch: a week ago, whenever i would press in the clutch pedal, i would
hear a relatively HIGH PITCHED "CHICK CHICK CHICKH CHICK" SOUND, it's
speed relative to the rpms. the sound has since greatly diminished. i
suspected it could have been the throw out bearing, or the pilot
bearing. but here's the catch. i had the master and slaves cylinders
both replaced last june. the action of my PEDAL CURRENTLY SEEMS TO STOP
JUST SHORT OF ITS FULL RANGE OF MOTION (ie it 'stops' before it hits the
floorboard), but if i shift at high revs, the next few gearshifts will
allow the clutch pedal more movement. i have no idea what causes this.
any ideas?

lights on climate control: about the same time my clutch stopped this
sound, the l.e.d. readouts on my climate control became very dim.
turning the headlights on would cause the l.e.d.s to go completely out.
opening the glove box or the hood would cause the lights to come back
on. at first i thought it could have been some wires from an old set of
fog lights putting a load on the circuit. i removed these wires, the
relay, and everything up to the switch. no change. (which sucks
because now i have to completely re-wire for new fog lights). i figure
there is a bad relay. DO YOU KNOW WHAT RELAY AND WHERE IT IS LOCATED
THAT LINKS THE GLOVE BOX AND HOOD LIGHTS TO THE DIMMING OF THE CLIMATE
CONTROL CONSOLE LIGHTS IN RESPONSE TO THE ACTIVATION OF THE HEADLIGHTS.

speaking of headlights: is it possible to get XENON replacements for my
9004 bulbs? i searched all over the web last night, and couldn't find
specific replacements.

sorry for the long email, thank you for your help.
