BOUGHT 89 200T SEDAN FOR $3900

Really guys I was looking for a quattro! Hard to find in Arizona. Have
been 
reading the list for months and looking for deals. found this one in
scotts-
dale, az. All service records  from scottsdale Audi, 90k miles, looks
perfect
inside and out. Car has all options for 89 and everything
works.............

except,
The a/c compressor won't come on and fan is directed  to defrost and
footwell
vents only.

After reading 57 million times in the list to buy a Bently, I did ($170
OUCH).

Diagnostics seem to indicate a bad climate control head unit, any chance
this cost less than the bently? :) 

Did bypass the compressor clutch and the a/c system is ok otherwise. I
might 
leave it this way but my wifes feet get cold ;)

Any source for the control head would be  muchly appreciated.
