mystery-mobile spotted on Rt 9(Natick, MA)

Weeeeeelll, thanks to my CSW sub/sat unit blowing a gasket(right channel no
longer works.) I headed out to their store to get it replaced, and
(curses!) they were closed.  So, I'm toodling down Rt 9 towards 128
thoroughly pissed and all of the sudden, I notice this very bright
purple-ish light streaming onto the road.
?!?!?
Look over to the right, and parked smack in front of the Computer Town
store is a set of humung-o xenon headlights, and in the unbelievable light
thrown off, I could clearly make out a set of the ol' 4 rings.

Mysteries abound!  Couldn't have been an A8, the headlights were WAY too
"tall"; the proportions were almost squares.  Same with the a4, couldn't
have been that either.  My guess is maybe an imported '99 a6 or '99
S-car("Hey!  Look at that s-car-go!")
