As one who was compelled to get a DSS system for Speedvision I have taken note
of this as well. (Primarily to be able to see F1 live in the US...how did I
ever live without that channel, they even showed an Ausie 18 sailboat race.)
Bottom line is this, without quattro, the Audis are running "mid-pack" at best
in this series. Interestingly enough it is not the wmb that sits atop the
heap...though they are very close. Peugeot seems to be the car to beat.
On the topic of Audi in motorsports...I noticed in the Las Vegas SportsCar
WSC, GTS1, 2, 3 race this last Sunday a quattro lumbering around the
track...looked like one of the old German Touring Car V-8's. Anyone have any
insights? What division was it running in? What model was it really? How
(badly) did it really do? Who is running it? Anyone know?
