quattro driveline question

How do I tell if the driveshaft (trans to rear diff) needs replacement or
rebuilding? Expensive? Clutch slave cylinder?  Can the both the diffs be
locked at the same time? Is abs deactivated when the diffs are locked?
Rear suspension parts, what goes bad? I see the rear tie rods are a
hundred something a side. Diff case bushings? This is all on a 5kcsQ. I
need the low down before I buy.TIA!
