Damn, should have let us know. A friend of mine who
works at a Porsche/Audi Dealer got me a distributor
from a V8Q, Audi Dealers CHANGE THE ENTIRE DISTRIBUTOR
when the rotor is bad, (evidently they never cross
referenced it, the rotor is the same as used in the
lowly Yugo, you do have to break the old one off, as it's
glued on) he saved me a distributor instead of
tossing it "as usual". I experimented on making a
cam holding tool out of the distributor for timing
belt changes, but only succeeded in completely
ruining it (aluminum definitly aint no steel).
V8Q's rarely show up where he works, but I'll ask
him to save the next distributor that needs a rotor.
Still haven't received a decent answer from anyone yet
on how come the car runs so good without the
distributor connected at all.
BCNU,
... Not tonight, dear. I have a modem.
