V8Q, questions, some answ

     Damn, should have let us know.  A friend of mine who
     works at a Porsche/Audi Dealer got me a distributor
     from a V8Q, Audi Dealers CHANGE THE ENTIRE DISTRIBUTOR
     when the rotor is bad, (evidently they never cross
     referenced it, the rotor is the same as used in the
     lowly Yugo, you do have to break the old one off, as it's
     glued on) he saved me a distributor instead of
     tossing it "as usual".  I experimented on making a
     cam holding tool out of the distributor for timing
     belt changes, but only succeeded in completely
     ruining it (aluminum definitly aint no steel).
     V8Q's rarely show up where he works, but I'll ask
     him to save the next distributor that needs a rotor.

     Still haven't received a decent answer from anyone yet
     on how come the car runs so good without the
     distributor connected at all.
