Note that if you are relying on the trip computer (and I don't have an A6
around to see if there is one...), these things are REALLY unreliable.
The first thing to do is to reset it. Fill you tank to max, reset the
thing and see if you still have the same mileage. Plus calculate it by
hand.
If it's still that bad, you probably have a mechanical/electrical problem.
It might just need a good tune-up (new fluids/plugs/etc) ... At any rate,
if continue to have this problem, take it to a reputable independent
mechanic, you can ask the list who is best in your area.
