Re: Brake pad wear light comes on



The cheapest and easiest route to go is to jump the two terminals on the
wear sensor plug at the caliper. You can cut old plugs off of the old
pads, solder and insulate (heat shrink), plug back into the wiring. See if
it goes away, if not, my bet would be that the wiring is open a little
ways upstream of the plug. On my car, water got into the boot, and the
wires got so rotten inside that they kept coming apart when I simply
touched them. I figure many problems are in that area, even if not due to
moisture. I ended up jumping the wires on both side together and that
did the trick. I frequently check my pads, so I didn't care to waste my
time rewiring. Good luck.
